Nervous System

Click here to visit Neuroscience for Kids.

This is a great site for kids to learn about the nervous system.

This page was created by the nervous system group of Tyler, Kelsey, Hannah, Lia, Jade, Zeke and Breanna.

The main organs in the nervous system are the brain, spinal cord and nerves. The brain sends messages to the body, and the nerves make you feel things. The brain controls everything except involuntary movements. An example of this is pulling your finger out of a fire.

We found this picture on the American Medical Association home page.

The Nervous system is like the telephone system because the phone sends messages to other people like the brain sends messages to the nerves.
