CHAPTER I GETTING TO KNOW CINDY BLAKE
There once was an 11-year-old girl named Cindy Blake who was always getting scared. She was just so weird. She had no friends so she was always alone. She loved books especially weird ones. She had a mother and a little brother that was 3. She was the nicest 11-year-old girl that was always alone.
CHAPTER II MR LIDENÕS LIBRARY
At lunch break Cindy goes to MR. Lindens library or to the new public library that just opened. She usually goes to MR. lindens library because MR. LindenÕs library was being shut down because it didnÕt have enough money for it to stay open.
The funny thing is after I read MR. Lindens signÓ that said closing in a weekÓ I went to the public library but the library was destroyed. No one theyÕre new what happened. It was weird. I mean, libraries donÕt get destroyed when there open for a month and a half. After it was destroyed Cindy went only to MR. lindens library. She always asked MR. Linden if he had a new book in the buying section. But usually he saidÓ, no. MR. Linden is a very nice person who always tries to not get angry when people asked him too many questions. Last time he scared me with his Future
Book. So thatÕs why I usually go to the public library. I hope he will be better today. I walked in to see if he had a new book in the buying section. Today he said,Ó yesÓ. He said it was the weirdest book he has ever read.
ÒAnywayÓ said MR. linden, Òweird about the library being destroyedÓ.
ÒRight, I wonder what happened? ItÕs weird that nobody saw anything happen. I mean more crimes happen at night, and thereÕs usually a witness . And if the library got destroyed that fast I donÕt know how thatÕs possible exclaimed Cindy. Any way I just wanted to talk to you about that. So can I see the book? What kind is it Is it a nice or scary storyÓ? Cindy asked.
ÒIt is one I canÕt read because it switches from English to some other languageÓ.
ÒIs it Latin?Ó Cindy asked?
ÒNo, I donÕt think so. If it were Latin, I would knowÓ.
ÒSo can I have a look at it?Ó Cindy asked.
ÒNo that book is not for saleÓ.
ÒI just wanted to look at it, and why isnÕt it for saleÓ Cindy said annoyed?
ÒBecause I havenÕt read it yet said MR. Linden. Please leave Cindy ItÕs almost Closing timeÓ.
ÒNOÓ.
ÒAll right were going to have to do this the hard wayÓ.
MR. Linden pushed Cindy out of the library and locked the door and put the closed sign on.
CHAPTER III THE CALL AND REUNITED
All that night Cindy was awake saying that book should be mine.
ÒIt should be mine, it has to be mine. I must have It must take it! I know what I have to do, I have to go back and grab the book when he is not lookingÓ.
Normally Cindy was The nicest girl but for some reason she is acting real bad. But who is to say she is doing this against her will?
The next day Cindy went back to MR. LindenÕs library. She demanded that MR Linden to give her the book.
ÒNo I will never give you the book. The book is mineÓ MR. Linden said.
ÒI see. I guess I will buy it from youÓ Cindy bribed. ÒHow about a hundred dollars?
ÒNoÓ MR. Linden said.
Cindy shoved MR Linden then grabbed the book and ran home without even looking back.
Chapter IV
THE WARNING THE MOON AND THE MONSTER
ÒItÕs finally mine,Ó Cindy said,Ó I finally will read this book.
Cindy opened the book and a warning in the book said if you read this book you will suffer a horrible consequence. Whatever you do, do not read this book. Cindy didnÕt care. She read it out loud anyway. After she read the whole book, she was so angry!
ÒI stole that book for five minutes of my own time ,ÓCindy shouted.
ÒIt was basically a story book. I wonder what that warning was, I wonder. Ò
Cindy looked at the moon. Then she heard a slithering sound. She looked around her room. Then she noticed the book, the book had black vines coming out of it, and the vines wrapped around her.
Cindy said, WhatÕs happening?Ó.
CindyÕs body was almost covered with vines. Cindy broke through them. She threw the book out the window, then she ran down stairs.
The book continued to stretch vines at Cindy.
Cindy grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the vines while the vines wrapped around her. She kept cutting the vines. But the vines kept coming and coming every time she cut them off. Cindy tried to yell for help but she couldnÕt because her voice was gone. Finally she was too tired to cut any more vines so she `gave up and let the vines wrap around her.
When she finally awoke she was in her bed.
ÒWhat happened? ÒCindy Blake asked?
The book was on the table right where she left it before it came to life.
ÒI guess I was dreamingÓ Cindy said,Ó I canÕt have been dreaming. I felt my self in its vines.
ÒI think I will return this book to MR. LindenÓ Cindy said.
When she got there the Whole library was destroyed.
The police where theyÕre and MR Linden was crying.
Cindy went over to MR. Linden.
ÒYou know I could tell the cops about what you did,Ó said MR Linden.
ÒIÕm really sorry. Here Ôs your book back,Ó Cindy said.
Thanks said MR. Linden It doesnÕt matter anymore because all my books are destroyed anyway.
ÒWhat?Ó said Cindy.

ÒYeah about the public library. I destroyed it,Ó said MR. Linden.
ÒWhat?Ó said Cindy, YouÕre lying!Ó
ÒYouÕd like to think so,Ó said MR. Linden. My whole library was destroyed by you.
ÒYouÕre wrong. I would never destroy your libraryÓ Said Cindy.
ÒThat book you took from me was the monster bookÓ said M.R Linden.
ÒWhat?Ó said Cindy.
ÒLet me put it into words that you will understandÓ the vines that rapped around you are inside you,Ó said MR. Linden,Ó At night when you are mad you turn into a monster!Ó
ÒWhat? Do you mean those vines were me and I really am the monsterÓ said Cindy.
ÒAnd if the book is destroyed you will dieÓ said MR. Linden. Only fire can destroy the book said MR. Linden. Oh isnÕt this your book said MR. Linden.
ÒWhatÓ said Cindy. How did you get my book.
Simple it was in your bag said MR. Linden. Do what I say and I wonÕt destroy your book said MR. Linden.
Chapter VI
THE BOOK OF M.R LINDEN
Cindy had to keep her mouth shut about M.R Linden or she would be done for.
She decided to break into MR. Lindens house. But MR. Linden lived in an apartment, and She couldnÕt go through the window. She would have to use a ladder to get to the window, and she didnÕt have a ladder so that was not an option. She decided She would just have to go up there and pick the door.
When she got up to MR. Lindens door, there was a very big lock, It was hard to pick the lock, but right when Cindy was about to get the door unlocked Cindy heard someone coming. She quickly found a garbage can that she could hide in. Then she jumped in it. The person that was coming was MR Linden. He stopped at the door and said, Òcome on in Cindy.Ó
Suddenly Cindy couldnÕt move. She was pushed into MR. LindenÕs house.
The weird thing was that no one was touching her. She was forced into a chair next to a big window.
ÒWhat are you going to do with me?Ó Cindy said.
ÒIÕm going to show you my past and where IÕm from, Òsaid MR. Linden.
ÒYouÕre insane!Ó Cindy cried.
Chapter VII MR LINDENS PAST
ÒMy home planet is called Crayo. It is home of Cran, Òsaid MR. LindenÓ. The Cran are Planet-takers. You see on each planet we make book shops. Then we give people the books, so they turn into Cran at every full moon. Or when they get mad we also have books of our own. Are goal is to turn every one into Cran.
ÒBut why did you not want to give me the bookÓ asked Cindy.
ÒBecause that was one that only had a curse for only one nightÓ.
ÒWhy are you telling me this?Ó Asked Cindy fearfully.
ÒBecause the Cran rule is you canÕt kill a creature from another planet, unless they know whatÕs going to happen,Ó MR. Linden said.
ÒSo you only told me about the Crans to destroy me?Ó Cindy asked beginning to cry.
ÒGoodbye Cindy BlakeÓ MR. Linden said.
Cindy jumped out of the way. Then she grabbed a fire extinguisher. She started swinging it at MR. Linden. Cindy noticed the full moon rising. She saw MR. Linden changing. He had vines wrapping around him. Cindy quickly ran out of the apartment. She went to MR. Lindens destroyed library.
She found a book in the rubble that was calledÓ The Book of MR. Linden.
Cindy realized it was his cursed book. Cindy looked for a way to make fire to destroy the book. She grabbed two sticks and rubbed them together. MR. Linden was almost on her. Finally, Cindy grabbed the book and hit the fire stick with the book. But the stick also hit her book.
ÒNoÓ. Cindy screamed
