Hi my name is Livy. I'm in 4th grade and I go to Lincoln School, I'm in the Blenders and I wanted to do Rock Climbing for my I.P. because I like to rock climb.

Rock climbing is a sport. You can climb indoors or outdoors. For example: you can climb for practice in a gym on artificial walls (they were invented in the last 20 years). You can take a longer and more challenging climb outdoors, like in Yosemite. Or still you can take a shorter climb for fun and exercise. There is another kind of climbing called Alpine climbing. Alpine climbing includes climbing in the snow, glaciers, and snow at high elevations.

Free Climbing

In free climbing the climber uses his/her own hands and legs to get to the rock's face. Nothing is supposed to help the climber. Not ropes, no ladders, no harnesses, and definitely not helicopters!

ENJOY!!!
