Doof – Foods and Recipes

Pumpkin Truffle

You will need:

1 box ginger cake mix

2 boxes vanilla pudding

1 bag ginger snaps

1 can pumpkin pie mix

2 containers of cool whip

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

½ cup of brown sugar

3 tablespoons of cinnamon

Bake gingerbread – set aside to cool.

Mix pumpkin pie mix with brown sugar and cinnamon, vanilla extract. Place in refrigerator.

Prepare vanilla pudding mix. Place in refrigerator to set.

Crumble layer of ginger bread in large container/bowl.

Put layer of pumpkin pie mixture on gingerbread.

Add layer of vanilla pudding.

Add layer of cool whip.

Crumble ginger snaps

Repeat process

Top with ginger snaps or favorite topping (we like crushed butterfingers)

Place in refrigerator.

Serve cold.

Spaghetti

  1. Hamburger 1 pound
  2. Spaghetti noodles 1 box
  3. Spaghetti sauce 1 bottle
  4. tomato paste 1 can
  5. Salt  - to taste
  6. pepper – to taste
  7. Cook the hamburger – crumble and then add sauce and tomato paste, salt and pepper
  8. Cook the noodles. When done, drain the water and put them on your plate.
  9. Spoon sauce onto noodles
  10. Enjoy eating

Irresistible Mac and Cheese

  1. Cook the macaroni noodles on top of the stove.
  2. Drain the noodles.
  3. Cover the bottom of the casserole dish with noodles.
  4. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on noodles.
  5. Add the rest of the noodles.
  6. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on noodles.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons of butter.
  8. Add milk.
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
  10. Cook in oven on 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Ingredients

16-ounce box of macaroni noodles

2- 8 ounce blocks of cheddar cheese shredded

½ cup of milk

Breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons of butter

Molasses Cookie Recipe

Melt and cool ¾ cup of shortening.

Add 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg and ¼ cup of molasses.

Mix well then sift and add 2 ¼ cup of flour 2 teaspoons of cloves and 1.2 teaspoons of ginger 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

½ teaspoon of salt

Mix well than chill

Make into 1-inch balls

Roll in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes

Corn Casserole

1 can of corn drained

1can creamed corn

1 8 oz. package corn muffin mix

1-cup sour cream

½-cup butter

½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

350 degrees oven

Grease casserole dish

Mix all ingredients except cheese in large bowl spread evenly into greased casserole

Bake at 350 degrees fro 45 minutes

Let stand for 3 minutes

(optional) at 40 minutes of bake time remove from oven and top with cheddar cheese and bake another 10-15 minutes until melted.

Cut into squares and serve warm

Turkey Spaghetti

What you need:

Spaghetti Sauce

1 pound of ground turkey

1 box of spaghetti noodles

Sugar to taste

Season salt

Garlic powder

Pepper

Directions:

Brown ground turkey; add season salt, garlic powder and pepper. Stir until brown all the way through. Drain your meat.

Boil your noodles until they are done. DonÕt rinse off, just drain.

Simmer sauce and add sugar to taste. After sauce is heated through, add ground turkey and mix well. Let simmer for 10 more minutes.

Add noodles to sauce and mix well until all noodles are coated with sauce.

Dish out and enjoy!

MommyÕs Chocolate Cream Pie

2 packs of instant chocolate pudding pie filling

1 container of cool whip

½ cup of chocolate chip semi-sweet morsels

1-gram cracker crust

Refrigerate 2-4 hours before eating

Slice and enjoy.

MariaÕs Famous Pizzelle Recipe

3 eggs beaten

¾-cup sugar

¾ cup butter soften

2 teaspoons Anise

1 ½-cup flour

1-teaspoon vanilla

3 tablespoons milk

1-teaspoon baking powder

Beat all ingredients together. Put a spoonful of the mixture onto the hot pizzelle grill. Makes 3-4 dozen

HannahÕs Famous Taco Salad

Ingredients:

½ cup cooked ground turkey or beef (we prefer turkey)

Clean and chopped lettuce

2 tables spoons of sour cream

¼ cup shredded cheese

1/3 cup of salsa

½ cup crushed tortilla chips (I like lime tortillas in my salad)

What to Do:

Put the lettuce in a nice size salsa bowl, layer the cooked turkey or beef over the lettuce, add tortilla chips next the cheddar cheese, sour cream and last add the salsa. Toss everything lightly. Enjoy! I sure so!
