1/2 pkg. Dry yeast 2.
1/2 c. warm water 3.
2 t. sugar 4.
1/2 t. salt 5.
1 t. softened butter 6.
2 t. beaten egg 7.
3/4 c. flour Day 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water. 2.
Add sugar and salt to yeast mixture and stir. 3.
Pour liquid ingredients into large mixing bowl and add
butter and egg. Stir. 4.
Gradually add flour into mixing bowl and stir until dough
forms a ball 5.
Add enough additional flour to make a stiff ball [about
1/4 c.] 6.
Place dough in bowl, covered, and refrigerate 20-24 hrs. Day 2 1. On lightly floured board, cut dough into 6-8 equal pieces. 2. Roll into 20Ó rope. Twist rope to make pretzel
shape. 3. Place pretzels on greased baking sheet. 4. Brush pretzels with egg/water mixture. 5. Sprinkle with salt or cinnamon and sugar (if you have
